2019年にイタリアで開催されたフェルッチョ・ブゾーニ・ピアノコンペティションで第1位を獲得し、国際的な注目を集めた。この功績に続き、ミラノのスカラ座、ミュンヘンのヘルクレッサール、サンクトペテルブルク フィルハーモニーの大ホールなど、世界で最も権威のあるホールでコンサートが行われた。
1998年ブルガリアのパザルジクという町で生まれ、幼い頃から音楽への強い関心と愛情を示した。中でも交響曲、特にグスタフ・マーラーの存在が彼の幼少期の音楽教育に多大な影響を与えたと考えている。
7歳からGalina Daskalova のもとでピアノのレッスンを始め、その後パザルジクのベルトルト・ブレヒト語学高校を卒業し、2013 年から 2018 年までブルガリアの著名なピアニスト、Atanas Kurtev に師事。現在、Pascal NemirovskiとAnthony Hewittの指導の下、全額奨学生としてロイヤルバーミンガム音楽院(UK)に在籍している。
これまで、「アレッサンドロ カサグランデ」、「スクリャービン ラフマニノフ」、「パヴェル セレブリャコフ」、「リスト バルトーク」、「若き巨匠たち」、「ジュネス国際音楽コンクール ディヌ リパッティ」などのコンクールで賞を受賞。また、ブルガリアで最も権威のある「名誉クリスタルライアー」と「ヤング・ミュージシャン・オブ・ザ・イヤー賞」を受賞している。
Dmitri Bashkirov, Dmitri Alexeev, Stephen Hough, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Peter Donohoeなどのマスタークラスを受講。
2021 年 2 月、ミラノのスカラ座で行ったソロリサイタルは、Covid-19 パンデミックの最盛期にオンラインにてストリーミング配信され、アーティストのキャリアにおける主要なハイライトとなった。
エマヌイル・イワノフは、ブルガリアの多くのフェスティバルにも出演し、フランス、イタリア、ドイツ、オーストリア、キプロス、イギリス、ポーランドでもソロ・リサイタルを行い、ブルガリアやイタリアの一流オーケストラとも共演している。2021/2022 年のコンサートシーズン中は、ミュンヘンのヘルクレッサールやサンクトペテルブルク フィルハーモニーの大ホールなど、世界で最も権威のあるコンサートホールで演奏する予定である。
2022年10月日本で初リサイタル。各地で「不屈の民」変奏曲などを弾き大絶賛を浴びた。その後NHKのラジオ放送でも大好評となった。
Emanuil Ivanov / piano
Emanuil Ivanov attracted international attention after receiving the First prize at the 2019 Ferruccio Busoni Piano Competition in Italy. This achievement was followed by concert engagements in some of the world’s most prestigious halls including Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Herculessaal in Munich and the Great Hall of the Saint Petersburg philharmonic.
Emanuil Ivanov was born in 1998 in the town of Pazardzhik, Bulgaria. From an early age he demonstrated a keen interest and love for music. He regards the presence of symphonic music, especially that of Gustav Mahler, as tremendously influential in his musical upbringing during his childhood. He started piano lessons with Galina Daskalova in his hometown around the age of seven. He later studied in and graduated from the Bertolt Brecht language high school in Pazardzhik. Ivanov studied with renowned bulgarian pianist Atanas Kurtev from 2013 to 2018. He is currently studying on a full scholarship at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under the tutelage of Pascal Nemirovski and Anthony Hewitt.
Ivanov has won prizes in competitions such as “Alessandro Casagrande”, “Scriabin-Rachmaninoff”, “Pavel Serebryakov”, “Liszt-Bartok”, “Young virtuosos” and “Jeunesses International Music Competition Dinu Lipatti”. He was also awarded the honorary Crystal lyre and the Young Musician of the Year Award – some of the most prestigious awards in Bulgaria.
His participations in masterclasses include those of Dmitri Bashkirov, Dmitri Alexeev, Stephen Hough, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Peter Donohoe, etc.
In February 2021, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ivanov performed a solo recital in Milan’s famous Teatro alla Scala. The concert was live-streamed online and is a major highlight in the artist’s career.
Emanuil Ivanov has also performed at many festivals in Bulgaria and has also given solo recitals in France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Cyprus, the United Kingdom and Poland. He has played with leading orchestras in Bulgaria and Italy.
During the 2021/2022 concert season Ivanov is scheduled to perform in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including Herkulessaal in Munich and the Great Hall of the Saint Petersburg philharmonic.
